Dam Fun Cabin

A five-bedroom, three-bath log cabin at 7,200 feet in Pinetop-Lakeside, 1,724 square feet, near Pinetop Country Club and surrounded by the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest. Cool air, tall pines, and enough room that a long stay does not start to feel small.

The kitchen is fully equipped, with ample counter space, a breakfast bar and a dining area big enough to sit everyone down — which is what makes cooking for yourself for a month straightforward rather than a chore. The living room has a large Smart TV and complimentary high-speed WiFi, with streaming on your own accounts.

Upstairs, the primary bedroom has a king bed and an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower. On the main level there are three more bedrooms — one with a queen bed, one with two twin beds, one with a twin trundle bed — sharing a full bathroom with a shower and tub combination. The cabin sleeps ten.

Above the garage there is a separate studio apartment with its own entrance from the backyard: two twin beds, a recliner, a kitchenette with a sink, microwave, coffee maker and wine fridge, an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower, a portable A/C unit, and a private balcony with a bistro table and chairs. Access is by exterior stairs, and the garage itself is not available for your use.

Outside there is a large covered deck, a shady yard, a gas grill, a wood-burning fire pit, a hammock and a hot tub that is professionally serviced every Monday — please check current fire restrictions before using the fire pit. Six public and three private golf courses are minutes away, more than 65 lakes and streams sit within the region for fishing, and hiking, mountain biking, skiing and wildlife watching are all local; you may see elk, pronghorn antelope or wild turkeys. Hon-Dah Casino, restaurants and shopping are nearby, and Sunrise Park Resort is about 25 minutes out.
