A ground-floor two-bedroom, two-bath condo of 1,074 square feet in the Village of Oak Creek, sleeping six, with sweeping Red Rock views from a furnished patio. No stairs to the front door, which is worth something on day thirty with a car full of groceries.

Inside, the living area has a fireplace, the kitchen is fully equipped, and the dining table handles both dinners and game nights. There is a dedicated workstation with a sound system for anyone working through the stay, a private washer and dryer, and two mini splits that cover the whole home for air conditioning. A vaporizer and a sleep machine are here too. The art is a mix of Southwest and Asian pieces collected over many years, so the place has a character of its own.

You can do a month here largely on foot. There is a grocery store right across the street, and restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques and galleries are a walk away, as are the trails — Bell Rock among them, where sunrise and sunset are the reason people move to this part of Arizona.

The community adds an on-site pool, hot tubs, and tennis and pickleball courts. The pool is open year-round: naturally heated June through October, held at 50° for tile protection November through February, and heated to 80° March through May. The hot tubs are open all year. Children under 14 need adult supervision in the pool area and are not permitted in the spa.

Practical details: two parking spaces close to the unit, one covered and one in the lot. Oakcreek Country Club is 1.0 mile away, the Red Rock Ranger District Visitor Center 2.2 miles, Cathedral Rock Trailhead 4.8 miles, Broken Arrow Trail 6.6 miles, Sedona Performing Arts Center 12.0 miles and Montezuma Castle National Monument 19.2 miles. Check-in is 4:00 p.m. and check-out is 10:00 a.m., quiet hours run from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m., and there is no smoking anywhere on the premises. Your local manager is the person to call when something needs attention.

The city requires a basic criminal background check for everyone staying at the property; the reservation holder will be asked for a date of birth and a permanent address before the booking is confirmed. Primary renter must be at least 25 years of age to rent (Proof of age required)
