The condo comes with a complimentary bicycle for the club's community trails, and there is a propane BBQ on the mountain-facing patio with outdoor dining — the kind of thing you use on a Tuesday, not just on a first weekend.

The primary bedroom has a king bed with a 50-inch HDTV and DVD player; the second bedroom has a queen bed, an HDTV and a small attached patio. There are flatscreen TVs in the living room, both bedrooms and the kitchen, and the furnishings are plush and contemporary. Everything is on one level, which is worth more over a month than it sounds.

Downtown Palm Springs is just three miles away for local boutiques, museums, restaurants and casinos. Golf at Mesquite Country Club is available (reasonable greens fees apply), and the hiking trails of Mount San Jacinto State Park and Joshua Tree National Park are close by when you want the desert landscape.

Outdoor music is prohibited. Music that is played indoors must not be heard outdoors. City ordinance states that any music that is audible from the property line is a violation. People noise during the day is permissible but must be measured and reasonable. Daytime is considered 10:00 am to 10:00 pm.
