Three bedrooms, two bathrooms and 3,020 square feet in La Quinta — room to actually live in for a month or more rather than pass through. The home comes furnished and is verified by a local manager before you arrive, so what you saw in the photos is what you walk into.

The kitchen is built for cooking every day, not once a week: a full kitchen with a double wall oven and a large breakfast bar of honed granite with seating for eight. The open-concept living area runs into a lounge with comfortable furnishings and a 55-inch flatscreen TV, and a second area holds a full-size pool table.

There is also a quiet piano lounge for reading by the fire, listening to music or a few board games. Outside, the backyard has a swimming pool, a covered and furnished patio for dining outdoors, and a grassy lawn with unobstructed mountain views. Three bedrooms and a study sleep up to eight between a king bed, a queen, and two sets of twin beds. Free WiFi throughout, and up to two family dogs are welcome.

Day to day you are walkable to La Quinta restaurants and shops, with the Coachella Valley in reach for events and entertainment. There are hiking trails around the area, many golf courses to book a tee time on, and the Living Desert Zoo and Gardens in Palm Desert sits six-and-a-half miles away when you want a change of scene.

Please note that outdoor music is prohibited. Music that is played indoors must not be heard outdoors. City ordinance states that any music that is audible from the property line is a violation. People’s noise during the day is permissible but must be measured and reasonable. Daytime is considered 10:00 am to 10:00 pm.
