A completely remodeled one-bedroom condo one block from the beach in San Clemente, 200 yards from the pier. It is furnished and decorated for coastal living, and at 29 nights or more it stops being somewhere you visit and becomes somewhere you live.
The full kitchen is the part that carries a long stay — you are not eating out for a month. The coastal living room has a ceiling fan and sliding doors that bring in the ocean breeze, plus an HDTV with cable and a DVD player, and WiFi is free.
There is a private patio with a dining space, and additional outdoor seating in the warm California sun. In a small home, outdoor space you can use year-round is what keeps it from feeling small.
Plan for a few things. There is no air conditioning, and parking is street parking only. The unit sits behind the main house, and the home uses decibel-level monitors. This condo is one of four neighboring condos that can be rented together as San Clemente - Monterrey Fourplex.
