Quiet Wooded Retreat

A four-bedroom, three-bath house of 1,332 square feet on a quiet cul-de-sac in the forested hills of Lake Arrowhead, about a mile from the water and less than a five-minute drive from a private dock.

The recently remodeled kitchen has a fridge, stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave and coffee maker — enough to cook properly for weeks rather than reheat. Meals happen in the dining area or outside on the deck, where there is a gas grill.

Sleeping runs to two king beds, a queen and a bunk bed, and the finished basement room adds a large movie screen with surround sound alongside a sofa and a queen bed. Elsewhere: a ping-pong table on the lower deck, board games, a hammock, and a large wooded yard with nothing but forest to look at. No pets are allowed at this home.

For a stay that runs through the seasons, the practical parts matter: central heat, air conditioning in the main bedroom suite, an outdoor propane heater and a gas fire pit for cold evenings, and a county-plowed road, so the house stays reachable in all seasons — though 4X4 or chains may be required in the winter. There is free off-street parking for up to 4 vehicles, and an EV charger is optional at an additional daily fee of $30. Entry is by digital lock with a code that is reset after each stay, and there is a video doorbell at the door.

The private dock sits in a protected bay about one mile from the house, with a shaded deck overlooking the water, outdoor furniture, a dining table and a BBQ grill you are welcome to use — the power boat and the indoor dockhouse space are not included. Some inflatable lake toys are provided in a storage bench. Fishing and swimming are at the dock, with mountain biking and hiking from the house.
