Heliotrope Hideaway

A two-bedroom, two-bath cabin of 1,023 square feet in Lake Arrowhead, furnished and set among tall trees in a secluded, picturesque spot. Over a month here you settle into the quiet: lush forests and hiking trails all around, wildlife to watch, and skiing two miles away.

Inside, the living room centers on a gas fireplace — the right room for reading a book picked off the shelf on a cold evening. There is cable, or stream what you like with your own accounts. If your stay involves work, the desk in the upstairs bedroom is set up for it, and two full bathrooms mean nobody waits.

Outdoors is the real draw. The wraparound deck holds a gas grill and a quaint outdoor table with an umbrella for shade, plus high-end patio furniture worth sitting in of an evening. The spacious fenced backyard gives you well-maintained space for dining outside among the trees, and there is a firepit to gather around in the side yard. Sierra and valley views come with the mornings.

Some plain facts before a long stay, because they matter more at thirty days than at three: stairs are required to access this home, it is not equipped with air-conditioning, and it does not provide access to a washer/dryer. No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.

Check-in time is 4:00 PM and check-out time is 10:00 AM. All guests shall abide by the good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
