A 1,080 sq ft, three-bedroom, three-bath house in Idyllwild, dog friendly, with fast WiFi - which up in the San Jacinto Mountains is not a given, and is the difference between being able to work from here for a few months and not.
The kitchen is well equipped with stainless steel appliances and set up for everyday cooking. The main living area has a wood-burning fireplace, which does real work through an Idyllwild winter, and a flat-screen for streaming with your own accounts. A second TV lounge on the lower level gives a household somewhere else to be.
The covered deck with forest views and outdoor furniture is where most of the day ends up in the warmer months.
You are close to Idyllwild's shops, restaurants and local services, so a month here does not mean driving down the hill for groceries. Please note that Riverside County regulations prohibit outdoor party lighting - no lights that blink, flash or rotate - and hold occupants liable for light trespass onto neighboring properties. Verified by a local manager.
